KUALA LUMPUR: Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim is expected to be discharged from hospital today, his wife Dr Wan Azizah Wan Ismail said.
She said Anwar expressed his appreciation to everyone who had prayed for his health.
“PMX sends his regards and thanks to everyone who prayed for his health and recovery,” she told reporters after attending the Semarak Merdeka programme in conjunction with the 2026 National Month celebrations at the Bandar Tun Razak branch of Kuala Lumpur City Hall here.
Anwar underwent an elective laparoscopic surgical procedure on Monday to treat an abdominal hernia.
